Embark on a rewarding contract assignment working with students in specialized education settings at the elementary and PreK levels. This opportunity is based in a supportive school environment and runs from ASAP through May 26, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week. Key Qualifications:
- Valid SPED license (open to those with emergency/pending credentials, including teachers participating in Teachers of America and ITeach programs)
- Experience with K-2nd grade students with autism and PreK special education preferred
- Ability to adapt instruction and navigate self-contained settings
- Flexibility and strong communication skills to foster partnerships with staff and families
- Eagerness to work onsite in person (remote work is not available for these roles)
- Willingness to relocate or commute to the area as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions to elementary and PreK students with special needs in a self-contained classroom
- Collaborate with paraeducators, specialists, and school staff to ensure student success
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Engage in regular communication with parents and caregivers
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment
