Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education
- Prior experience as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher or in a similar setting
- Proficiency in ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System)
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual student needs
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize ECATS for documentation, compliance, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth through evidence-based practices
- Maintain ongoing communication with families regarding progress and challenges
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school events as required
