Seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher to inspire and support learners in a full-time, contract position. Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education or in pending status (must be able to provide proof)
- Previous experience or strong interest in managing self-contained learning disability (LD) classrooms
- Deep knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong classroom management and creative instructional skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, support staff, and fellow educators
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with learning disabilities
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to reach diverse learners
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators
- Assess student performance, maintaining thorough documentation
