Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania Instructional Certification in Special Education (PK–8 or equivalent)
- Previous experience with TEACCH, PECS, ABA, or other structured teaching models
- Background in restorative practices, trauma-informed care, or positive behavior supports
- Passion for working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to individualized instruction, social-emotional learning, and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a classroom of students grades 1-4 in a therapeutic learning setting
- Adapt and implement instruction using structured teaching practices tailored to diverse learning needs
- Integrate positive behavioral interventions and trauma-informed approaches
- Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families to reinforce student goals
- Maintain required documentation, participate in IEP meetings, and track individual progress
