Special Education Teacher | Valparaiso, Indiana

- Skilled in writing and implementing IEPs, including ongoing progress monitoring
- Familiarity with both push-in and pull-out service models
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing specialized instruction and support to students in 5th and 6th grades within a collaborative and supportive school environment
- Implementing both individualized and group interventions as needed in general education and resource settings
- Serving as the Teacher of Record for assigned students and managing all legal documentation
- Developing, writing, and revising IEPs that address each student’s unique learning and behavioral needs
- Monitoring and documenting students' progress, updating records, and communicating with the team
- Building positive relationships with students and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
