Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state or eligibility to obtain
- Experience with elementary-age students, particularly in resource or inclusion settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to develop and implement differentiated lesson plans
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Dedication to creating a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction to students in 3rd through 5th grade within a resource classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for all students on the caseload
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service professionals to ensure student needs are met
- Track progress and adapt strategies using data and best practices
- Cultivate a classroom culture that supports a variety of learning styles and abilities
- Maintain consistent communication with families about goals, progress, and strategies for success
