Special Education Teacher - Warren, Michigan

Qualifications & Experience:
• Valid Michigan Special Education Teacher (SPED) license
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, ideally in resource or inclusive settings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt lessons and create individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Knowledge of diverse learning needs and effective instructional strategies for special education
• Team-oriented mindset and eagerness to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement effective, differentiated instruction for K-5 students in a resource environment
• Develop and track progress on IEPs in compliance with state/federal guidelines
• Work with other teachers, specialists, and support personnel to provide holistic student support
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom that encourages student participation and social-emotional growth
• Engage with families to update on student progress and collaborate on strategies for academic success
• Provide assessment and progress monitoring, adjusting instruction when necessary
