Special Education Teacher - Waterbury, CT

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License, with all certifications required for the role
- Experience in school-based special education settings preferred
- Familiarity with CT-SEDS highly valued
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to implement effective instructional strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Assess student progress and use data to inform instructional decisions
- Work closely with general educators, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
- Attend meetings, complete required documentation, and maintain accurate records
- Support a positive and inclusive classroom environment
