Key Qualifications:
- Current CTC certification in mild/moderate special education (required)
- Experience working with high school students in a special education setting, especially within an RSP model
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, positive approach
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and interventions for high school students in the RSP, supporting their academic, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Assess students’ needs, progress, and goal attainment; maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success and compliance with IEPs
- Create a safe and structured learning environment that celebrates student strengths and fosters independence
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to ensure best practices
