We are seeking passionate Special Education Teachers for onsite contract positions starting August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. Four openings are available: one at the middle school level (hours between 8:30AM–4PM or 8AM–3:15PM) and three at the high school level (7:15AM–2:45PM), with specialties in Science, Math, and Social Studies. You’ll be supported by a collaborative environment focused on student growth and learning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Special Education certification/licensure suited for your caseload
- Bachelor’s degree required (for eligibility for an emergency teaching permit)
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter with expertise in Science, Math, or Social Studies for high school roles
- Previous experience working in schools, preferably in an urban setting
- Mastery in classroom and behavioral management
- Demonstrated ability to use current state and district standards to plan effective, differentiated lessons
- Strong organizational skills, with mastery in creating and adapting lesson plans using formative assessments
- Reliable transportation required; punctuality is a must given fixed schedule and hours
- Comfort and adaptability within district protocols and location
- Must be able to complete all Pennsylvania clearances prior to the start date
