Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education
- Experience working with high school students with a range of learning needs
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families
- Ability to cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction tailored to high school students within a special education setting
- Develop lesson plans that address students' IEP goals and promote academic growth
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Track student progress, maintaining thorough and accurate documentation
- Engage in regular communication with families, sharing successes and discussing strategies
- No toileting or feeding duties required for this role
