Exciting contract opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED/Intervention Specialist) to make a meaningful impact in an elementary school setting near Westerville, OH. This full-time position runs from August 13, 2026 to May 20, 2027, working 6.5-hour days aligned to school hours (8:40 AM – 3:40 PM). As an Intervention Specialist, you'll support a self-contained classroom with a maximum of 6–8 high-needs students, alongside two classroom aides to ensure all students receive individualized attention.
What We're Seeking:
- Valid Intervention Specialist License or Special Education Certification (SPED)
- Prior experience working with high-needs populations, especially in elementary settings, preferred
- Ability to foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment
- Comfortable collaborating with classroom aides and other professionals
- Dedicated to individualized instruction and interventions to help each student thrive
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement IEPs and coordinate targeted interventions tailored to student needs
- Foster a structured, nurturing environment for high-needs learners
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, parents, and school personnel
- Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring
