Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working with middle school students is highly valued
- Solid grounding in individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
- Familiarity with a variety of resource room instructional methods
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and administration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to middle school students within a resource setting
- Develop, modify, and implement IEPs to address students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
- Partner with general education teachers and support personnel to ensure student inclusion and success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Foster an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity
