Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with an active Special Education endorsement (please include details of your certification with your application)
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in supporting students with varying disabilities across early childhood, middle, and high school settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for partnering with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong classroom management strategies with a commitment to educational equity and inclusion
- Adaptability and a creative approach to problem-solving and instructional planning
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based instruction in alignment with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans to address diverse learning needs
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments to instructional approaches
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, and contribute to a positive school culture
