Special Education Teacher in Wilmington, VT

Qualifications and Experience:
- Current VT Special Education Teacher certification required; applications also considered if certification is pending
- Previous experience in a school setting or with middle school-aged students is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to differentiate and adapt instruction for diverse learners
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and interventions to students in a self-contained classroom setting
- Develop and implement IEPs, tailoring plans to individual student needs and goals
- Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all required documentation is complete and timely
