Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts Special Education License (required)
- Experience with K–12 students in various classroom settings
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Adaptability to different instructional techniques and student needs
- Enthusiasm for professional growth and ongoing learning
Responsibilities:
- Design and provide specialized instruction for students with disabilities, tailored to meet IEP goals
- Assess students’ progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Effectively manage classroom environments and support positive behavior
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and communicate progress to families
- Actively participate in meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary teams
