Key Qualifications:
- Valid IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement, or eligible for PEL via ISBE Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) if holding a comparable out-of-state certification
- Experience supporting students with a range of academic and social/emotional needs in elementary settings preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Role Highlights:
- Full-time, contract assignment: Monday–Friday, 35 hours per week
- Structured daily schedule with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute unpaid breaks
- Caseload of roughly 8–10 students in a K–4 resource model
- Provides both pull-out direct instruction and push-in classroom support
- Academic and social/emotional skill-building with a focus on individualized success
- Onsite position in a supportive, welcoming school environment
