Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligibility; out-of-state teachers should consult ISBE ELIS for licensure guidelines.
- Orton Gillingham, SLANT, Wilson, Sonday, or similar structured literacy training/certification preferred.
- Experience supporting elementary K-4 students, especially in resource and inclusion settings.
- Strong background in both academic and social/emotional support.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and provide push-in classroom support for 8-12 elementary students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to implement IEP accommodations and modifications.
- Offer both academic and social/emotional assistance in inclusive environments.
- Engage in school meetings, planning, and progress monitoring.
- Full-time, on-site role during standard school hours (35 hours/week).
