Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Valid LBS1 certification and PEL required, or eligibility for PEL via ISBE Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS) for those with transferable out-of-state credentials
- Classroom experience in K-4 special education or related resource settings
- Strong capacity for both academic and social/emotional support
- Passion for collaborative work with general education staff in both pull-out and push-in support models
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and in-class support to a caseload of 8-10 elementary students
- Deliver resource services, adapting for each learner’s academic and social-emotional needs
