Qualifications:
- Active LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) endorsement
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required, or a comparable out-of-state certification with eligibility to obtain an Illinois PEL (Refer to ISBE ELIS for guidance)
- Experience supporting K-4 students in academic and social/emotional domains preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 8–10 students (K-4) in a resource model at an elementary school, providing both pull-out direct instruction and push-in classroom support
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Address both academic and social/emotional targets
