Positions are available across elementary and middle school levels, offering you the chance to specialize by student population and instructional focus. Openings include:
- Elementary Developmental (2 roles): Support 15 students alongside 6 assistants, focusing on behavioral, ASD, and communication needs.
- Elementary Behavior: Guide grades 3–5 (16 students) with the support of 5 assistants.
- Middle School Resource: Assist 40 students, working with 2 shared assistants.
- Elementary Resource: Split between two nearby sites, engaging with 35 students and one assistant at each location.
- Middle School Behavior: Oversee 15 students, collaborating with 5 assistants.
Key qualifications:
- Current and valid Special Education certification/license in Oregon.
- Ability to provide contact information for your most recent supervisor as a reference.
- Commitment to onsite work throughout the contract duration.
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with a team of assistants to provide instructional support and promote a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate and partner with families, staff, and related service providers.
- Assess and track student progress, adapting strategies as needs evolve.
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements.
