We are seeking skilled Special Education Teachers for onsite, full-time contract opportunities starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 5, 2026. This is an excellent chance to help students grow and succeed within collaborative teams, working alongside paraprofessionals in a supportive environment.
Multiple positions are available to fit your expertise and interests:
- Elementary Developmental: 2 positions serving students with behavioral, autism spectrum, and communication needs (classrooms of 15 students, each with 6 assistants)
- Elementary Behavior: Grades 3–5, classroom of 16 students supported by 5 aides
- Elementary Resource: Split between two close sites, serving a total of 35 students, each location has an assistant
- Middle School Resource: Serving 40 students, working with 2 shared assistants
- Middle School Behavior: Class of 15 students, with 5 assistants
Your qualifications:
- Active and current Special Education certification/license in Oregon
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Ability to collaborate with classroom assistants and other educators
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
- Reference information for your most recent supervisor is required as part of the application process
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student IEPs
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families and staff
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Supervise and collaborate effectively with classroom assistants and support staff
