Special Education Teacher in Woodburn, OR

The focus includes behavior classrooms—where physical aggression, elopement, and effective behavioral interventions are a priority—and high-volume Learning Resource Classrooms, where managing the needs of as many as 43 students requires strong organizational and teaching abilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Special Education (SPED) certification/license in Oregon (OR)
- Proven experience managing elementary behavior classrooms, including handling physical aggression and elopement issues
- Demonstrated capability running high-volume Learning Resource Classrooms
- Ability to provide contact information for your three most recent supervisors; this is a strict requirement for consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Utilize effective behavioral interventions and academic strategies to meet students’ diverse needs
- Maintain accurate records and measure student progress
- Participate in ongoing team meetings, professional development, and daily classroom activities
