What you’ll bring:
- Valid Special Education licensure or certification for the state of Massachusetts
- Prior experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Solid understanding of IEPs, progress documentation, and data-driven instruction
- Effective classroom management and collaborative skills
- Strong communication with students, families, and school staff
- Resourceful, patient, and adaptable approach in dynamic settings
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt general curriculum and create differentiated lessons tailored to each student’s needs
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general education staff to support student inclusion and success
- Evaluate student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches as needed
- Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements
- Participate in parent conferences, IEP meetings, and faculty collaboration sessions
