Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a closely related field.
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience teaching in special education settings, preferably in virtual or remote environments.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, student accommodations, and IDEA compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and technology skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and provide individualized support in a virtual setting.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with diverse needs via virtual platforms.
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student achievement and inclusion.
- Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Provide a supportive and nurturing virtual classroom environment.
