Key Qualifications:
- Current certification in Special Education (state requirements must be met)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Previous experience teaching students with diverse learning needs
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet varied needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s needs and learning style
- Develop, write, and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Utilize assessment data to track progress and adjust educational strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success
- Engage with parents, guardians, and related service providers to develop effective support plans
- Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment for all learners
