Special Education Teacher - Andover, MN
Seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers with dual certification to join an innovative educational model for the upcoming academic year. Key Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Early Childhood Special Education (EC SpEd) and Elementary Special Education (ES SpEd).
- Previous experience working with diverse student populations in special education settings.
- Strong understanding of individualized education plan (IEP) development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
- Ability to adapt instruction and interventions to meet a wide range of learner needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students in both early childhood and elementary special education programs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring each student receives tailored support aligned with their goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to integrate services and promote success.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates to families and administrative teams.
- Participate in professional development and model new instructional strategies as the program evolves.
- Support positive behavior interventions and restorative practices as part of a holistic student approach.
