Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher in a center-based preschool program for ages 3-5. This contract position provides an opportunity to make a profound impact on early development through playful, engaging routines designed to meet the diverse needs of children with disabilities. You will be based at a dedicated early childhood center, surrounded by a collaborative team focused on fostering cognitive, social, emotional, communicative, and physical growth in each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tailoring learning to each child's unique needs.
  • Conduct developmental assessments and classroom observations to inform eligibility, set meaningful goals, and guide instruction.
  • Utilize play-based and embedded interventions throughout daily routines in smaller class settings, maximizing student engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with families, general education teachers, and related service providers to ensure consistent support for every student.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direct guidance to paraprofessionals in the classroom environment.
  • Foster classroom communities by utilizing positive behavior support strategies and integrating social-emotional learning throughout the curriculum.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Early Childhood Special Education licensure.
  • Experience in early childhood and/or special education settings, especially with children ages 3-5.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to develop and track IEPs and student progress effectively.
  • Familiarity with play-based assessment and intervention strategies preferred.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Morning session: 9:30am-12:00pm
Afternoon session: 1:00pm-3:30pm
