Special Education Teacher in Andover, MN

Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education Teacher License (required for consideration)
- Experience with Setting 4 environments or high-needs special education preferred
- Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies and individualized educational planning (IEPs)
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Adaptability and resilience in dynamic, intensive settings
- Must be able to work full-time (Monday–Friday) at the designated learning center
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, evidence-based instruction and interventions for students with severe behavioral and cognitive disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
- Create a supportive, safe, and structured classroom environment
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and positive behavioral supports daily
- Maintain accurate documentation and ongoing student progress assessment
- Foster a culture of respect, growth, and achievement for all learners
