Special Education Teacher - Andover, Minnesota

This full-time contract opportunity is designed for a passionate Special Education Teacher skilled in supporting at-risk youth and eager to work alongside a committed staff. The position begins August 31, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, aligning with the traditional school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in one of the following: EBD, ASD, or ABS (or eligibility for Out of Field Licensure Placement)
- Proven experience working with at-risk students, particularly in behavior support
- Strong collaboration skills for effective teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needs within a special education caseload
- Must submit your Minnesota Teaching License and a current resume to be considered
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality special education instruction and case management for students in grades 9–12
- Develop, implement, and regularly assess Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
- Employ evidence-based interventions for students with a range of needs, focusing on academic, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages student engagement and builds self-esteem
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other specialists to create the most supportive environment possible
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and district requirements

- Onsite at a vibrant community school serving high school students
- Standard teacher schedule: 7:15 am – 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
