Special Education Teacher in Andover, MN
Step into an impactful role guiding a small group of elementary students in an ASD Setting 3 environment. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher who is passionate about fostering success for children with special needs in a supportive school community near Andover, MN.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in special education and demonstrates a caring, student-centered approach. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing individualized instruction for a caseload of 6-8 elementary students, all while collaborating closely with colleagues and families to create an engaging and inclusive learning experience.
Qualifications:
• Active Special Education (SPED) Licensure in Minnesota
• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification
• Prior experience working in ASD settings is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for making a positive difference in students’ lives
Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver tailored instruction to meet individualized education plans
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with special education guidelines
• Support student growth both academically and socially
This position offers a weekly schedule of 33.25 hours across 5 days, with the opportunity to start as soon as possible and extend through June 11, 2027.
