Special Education Teacher - Andover, Minnesota

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 only)
- Experience serving students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders strongly preferred
- Proficient in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Deep understanding of IEP development, behavioral intervention strategies, and restorative practices
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate students
- Compassionate, organized, and adaptable to a variety of classroom situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and support middle school students in EBD programs, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs
- Manage a caseload in a Setting II/III/center base educational environment
- Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and adjust strategies as needed
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom culture encouraging academic and personal growth
- Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, and families to ensure whole-child success
- Maintain accurate records and communication in accordance with school and district policies
This contract opportunity begins September 18, 2026, and runs through June 10, 2027, with 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
