Openings include two positions in ASD/CI (Autism Spectrum Disorder/Cognitive Impairment) elementary classrooms and one in a Resource Room setting. By providing your expertise and support, you will help cultivate a positive, inclusive, and growth-focused learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Current and valid Michigan Special Education Teacher certification with endorsement for CI (Cognitive Impairment) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse learners and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—vital for partnering with students, families, and fellow staff members
- Strong commitment to differentiated instruction and evidence-based teaching strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs in small-group and individual settings
- Develop, modify, and implement accommodations to support each learner’s unique needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation
- Foster a supportive, structured classroom environment conducive to student growth and engagement
- Participate in IEP development, meetings, and ongoing assessments
