Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-specific requirements apply)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting
- Familiarity with self-contained and resource classroom models
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet differentiated learning needs
- Case management experience is a plus, but all dedicated candidates are encouraged
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct instruction and support in both self-contained and resource settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and adherence to compliance requirements
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
