What we’re looking for:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working in elementary education
- Strong background with cross-categorical/resource teaching
- Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance
- Ability to develop and adapt lessons to meet various student needs
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with colleagues and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive classroom environment
In this role, you will:
- Provide small group and individual instruction to students in the resource program
- Develop and implement specialized lesson plans based on student IEPs
- Monitor student progress, documenting and reporting on growth
- Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development when needed
- Ensure a supportive, respectful classroom atmosphere for all learners
- Engage with families to maintain open lines of communication
This position is full-time, requiring 35 hours per week onsite. The assignment begins as soon as possible, offering a rewarding schedule aligned with the school calendar.
