Special Education Teacher - Anoka, MN

This unique opportunity focuses on supporting students at an elementary level, with a preferred focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As a part-time educator, you’ll engage with young learners in a supportive school environment, helping build the foundation for ongoing academic and social success.
Your role will be integral to providing personalized instruction and guidance five days a week, on-site for partial days. Your expertise and flexibility ensure all students receive the tailored resources they need to thrive.
Ideal Candidates Possess:
- Valid teaching licensure in special education (other related licensures may also be considered)
- Experience working with students with ASD is highly preferred
- Creativity and patience in adapting curriculum to meet individual needs
- Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit for working with fellow educators and families
- Commitment to maintaining an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction to students with special needs in a contained classroom setting
- Develop and implement IEPs while coordinating interventions and accommodations
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families to support growth and learning
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings as needed
- Uphold the school’s values of respect, responsibility, and inclusion
