Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Minnesota teaching credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD)
- Possess a tier 3 or tier 4 Special Education license
- Demonstrated experience working in specialized programs or with students requiring intensive support
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adept at adapting instructional strategies to individual learning profiles
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with developmental cognitive disabilities, ensuring IEP goals are met
- Develop and implement individualized education plans in cooperation with fellow educators and parents
- Maintain thorough progress documentation and participate in evaluations and student meetings
- Engage actively in school culture, contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with school staff to create holistic support frameworks for student success
