Make a difference with your expertise in special education! Dedicated educators are needed for contract positions beginning August 24, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Work on-site, supporting a variety of special programs serving students at all grade levels. This opportunity requires a passion for individualized learning and a tier 3 or 4 license in Special Education–Developmental Cognitive Disabilities. Multiple positions are available, including three roles at the middle school level focused on resource and RISE programs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (tier 3 or 4)
- Experience with specialized programs at elementary, middle, or high school levels
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Adaptable, organized, and patient approach to working with students of diverse needs
- Ability to commit to on-site instruction (remote/voco options are not available)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Manage caseloads with commitment and care, ensuring all compliance and documentation requirements are met
- Collaborate effectively with other special education staff, general educators, and support specialists to support inclusive educational experiences
- Communicate consistently with families and team members regarding student progress and needs
- Contribute to proactive behavioral and academic supports within special programs
