Special Education Teacher in Anoka, MN

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)
- Licensure in Special Education, with documented experience at the elementary level preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that addresses diverse learning needs
- Experience managing an elementary-age caseload in a resource classroom setting highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality special education instruction on-site at the elementary level
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals and needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school administrators, and related service providers
- Support students using evidence-based interventions and differentiated instruction
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely communication with parents and guardians
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing program evaluation
