Special Education Teacher - Anoka, Minnesota

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience supporting students with autism, developmental disabilities, or unique learning profiles preferred
- Strong understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations
- Capability to adapt lessons and environments for diverse student needs
- Collaborative mindset for working with paraprofessionals, other teachers, and related service staff
- Excellent communication skills to build productive relationships with families and colleagues
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver core and specialized instruction in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Track student progress, complete documentation, and report regularly on objectives
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and related program planning
- Foster a safe, structured, and positive classroom climate supporting social, emotional, and academic growth
- Adapt learning resources and classroom activities to individual students’ strengths and needs
- Contribute to professional development and ongoing program improvements
