Special Education Teacher - Anoka, Minnesota
Dedicated to empowering students with diverse learning needs, this contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Special Education Teacher ready to make a meaningful impact. This role is based in a supportive elementary setting and will focus on a Setting III/centerbase LAUNCH caseload. The assignment begins at the end of August 2026 and concludes in June 2027, providing the chance to foster growth and progress throughout the academic year.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a current Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education Teaching license (required)
- Demonstrated experience working with students with a variety of educational needs
- Ability to manage and adapt instruction in a Setting III/centerbase environment
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to individualized education plans and data-driven instructional strategies
- Up-to-date resume reflecting relevant experience and credentials
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored special education instruction and support to meet each student’s IEP goals
- Develop, adapt, and implement curriculum for students in the LAUNCH program
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom climate
- Regularly assess and document student progress, making adjustments as needed
- Communicate proactively with families and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and IEP documentation
