An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Special Education Teacher to support students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) in a full-time role at Roosevelt Middle School. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students within a dynamic special education program and a supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Previous experience working with students with EBD or in special education settings preferred
- Strong behavior management techniques and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- Knowledge of Setting II/III/center base models highly beneficial
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to address behavioral and emotional needs
- Partner effectively with general education staff, support personnel, and families to facilitate student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all learners
Position Details:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday; 37.5 hours per week
- Contract runs from September 18, 2026 (or as soon as possible) through June 10, 2027
- School location: Blaine, MN
