This onsite position focuses on providing dedicated support to elementary students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) in a resource-rich environment. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification required (Tier 3 or 4), current and ready to upload as part of your application.
- Experience working with students with developmental cognitive disabilities preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for creating inclusive, supportive learning environments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students on your caseload (typically around 9 students with DCD).
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure students’ unique educational needs are met.
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching techniques to meet varying skill levels.
- Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, and families to foster student success.
- Maintain accurate records, stay current with special education best practices, and participate in professional development.
- Cultivate a safe, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
