Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Special Education Teacher license, Tier 3 or Tier 4 required
- Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors or severe disabilities strongly preferred
- Background in individualized instruction and creative problem-solving
- Ability to foster supportive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
What You’ll Do:
- Teach and manage a Setting 4 caseload, providing instruction to students across elementary to high school ages
- Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address academic and functional goals
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions for behavior management and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with school staff, counselors, and families to create a consistent and safe learning environment
- Document progress, attend meetings, and actively participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
- Adapt teaching techniques to the diverse needs of each learner, encouraging growth and independence
