Special Education Teacher in Arlington Heights, IL

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification, appropriate to K-8th grade (please specify your qualification and preferred teaching level)
- Previous experience with resource and/or self-contained classrooms highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Dedication to individualized instruction and differentiated learning methods
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and adapt lesson plans to suit the diverse needs of K-8 learners
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Manage classroom and resource instructional programs in alignment with IEP goals
- Assess student progress and document outcomes
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth, both academically and socially
