Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special needs by providing vital support in a dynamic school setting. Two full-time Special Education opportunities are available, each offering a unique chance to work with students in supportive and welcoming elementary and high school environments. Assignments are for the 2026-2027 school year, with one educator placed at an elementary school and another at a high school, working closely with students and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Colorado Department of Education Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher
- For elementary role: comfort with mild/moderate caseloads
- For high school role: background with emotional and behavioral disabilities, familiarity with CPI, de-escalation strategies, ABA, autism support, FBA/BIP processes, and special education math
- Strong team player with collaborative approach and positive communication skills
- Ability to foster respectful relationships with students, paraprofessionals, and other service providers
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and therapy providers
- Oversee behavioral plans and interventions as applicable
- Conduct FBAs and contribute to BIP development if needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development
- Complete district-required documentation and credentialing in a timely manner
