Opportunities include:
- Full-time Learning Specialist role at an elementary campus in Westminster, overseeing mild to moderate needs.
- Full-time Affective Needs teacher at a high school in Thornton, leading a small team to support students with more severe emotional and behavioral challenges.
Key Qualifications:
- Active CO Department of Education Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement required.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Background in applying CPI, de-escalation strategies, ABA principles, or other behavioral supports is highly valued.
- Strongly prefer familiarity with FBA (Functional Behavior Assessment), BIP (Behavior Intervention Planning), and special education math.
- Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, including paraprofessionals and therapy staff.
- Comfortable managing time-sensitive credentialing and documentation prior to onboarding.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized support plans, ensuring the unique educational and behavioral needs of each student are addressed.
- Facilitate collaboration with staff, students, and families to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- For the affective needs position, actively lead, guide, and coach a team of paraprofessionals.
- Implement and document progress for academic and behavioral goals.
Start your assignment on July 27, 2026, and continue through May 21, 2027, with a manageable caseload of one campus per role and a consistent 37.5 hour work week.
