Special Education Teacher - Arvada, CO

Three Special Education Teacher roles are available on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 27, 2027. As a valued professional in this supportive district, you will work 37.5 hours per week in engaging, collaborative learning environments that embrace diverse student needs.
Available settings include a High School Significant Support Needs (SSN) Center, an Elementary SSN Center, and an Elementary Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Center. Each position requires the expertise and compassion to inspire student growth and foster inclusive communities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Colorado Special Education Generalist license required
- Previous experience working with students in SSN and/or ASD settings is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage and adapt instruction for a variety of learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and teams
- Dedication to equity, inclusion, and ongoing professional growth
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with significant needs
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support academic and behavioral progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Maintain effective communication with families and stakeholders
- Compliance with state and federal special education laws and best practices
