Special Education Teacher - Arvada, Colorado

As part of a flexible team, you’ll provide specialized services at elementary schools, collaborate on district-level evaluations, and ensure bilingual children receive the support they need to thrive in school environments. The role offers a unique chance for those credentialed either as an Early Childhood SPED teacher or a bilingual school psychologist.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with Early Childhood SPED endorsement
- Fluency in English and another language
- Experience working in early childhood or special education settings
- Familiarity with or willingness to participate in child find evaluation processes
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to travel between multiple campuses in the district
What You’ll Do:
- Complete comprehensive bilingual evaluations for children at district and assigned school locations
- Support a caseload spanning at least two elementary sites, with possible involvement in district-wide assessments
- Partner with team members and families to interpret findings and recommend services
- Document results and contribute to individualized education plans as needed
- Maintain timely documentation for credentialing and compliance
- Adapt approaches for diverse learning needs in bilingual environments
This contract runs through May 21, 2027, and involves 37.5 hours per week of on-site engagement, serving the needs of early learners and collaborating with dedicated professionals.
