Special Education Teacher - Arvada, Colorado

Step into a dynamic educational environment as a Bilingual Early Childhood Special Education professional, serving young learners across multiple school sites. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference through hands-on child find evaluations and early intervention services. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 2027, you will be an integral member of a bilingual evaluation team, supporting students at the early childhood level in multiple elementary settings.
Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Active Colorado Department of Education teaching license with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English strongly preferred)
- Experience conducting child find evaluations or working within early childhood special education teams
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with families and school staff
- Ability to travel to multiple local sites as needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the district’s Bilingual Child Find Evaluation Team
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for early childhood-aged children across several elementary schools and potential district-wide evaluation sites
- Collaborate closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to determine student eligibility and provide early intervention recommendations
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation of all evaluations and services rendered
- Adhere to all district and state requirements regarding credentialing, including timely completion of a contractor packet
