Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Initial or Professional Teaching License with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) Endorsement
- Experience in special education, ESOL/ESL, general education, or other teaching settings
- Background in classroom management and the ELAchieve curriculum is highly desired
- Expertise in research-based, asset-oriented approaches for multilingual and English learner support
- Collaborative mindset, able to work closely with general education teachers to scaffold content for non-native English speakers
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, targeted English Language Development (ELD) instruction across listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Support students’ academic achievement and language acquisition using innovative, research-driven strategies
- Partner with classroom teachers to adapt lessons in subjects like math, science, and history for multilingual learners
- Cultivate a welcoming classroom culture that recognizes students’ home languages and cultures as strengths
- Maintain required documentation and participate in any necessary onboarding or school-specific training
